Founders of IMPACT

IMPACT was founded and designed by six education professionals: explorers, entrepreneurs, individualized learning experts, independent and international administrators, and outdoor education experts. Administrators and teachers have collaborated to create an alternative choice for students and families to pursue their educational endeavors in a new way - based completely on the research and wisdom of the likes of the great educational thinkers and philosophers John Dewey, Paulo Freire, and Horace Mann. With over a hundred years of leadership experience focusing on experiential and interest-based rigorous learning, our team cares deeply about finding new ways to serve better students who are driven to change their world and communities. Our focus is to help change the original schooling - brick and mortar - to a more authentic and organic learning experience with individualized, caring adults.

Jeff Fuchs

In his words, “It shouldn’t be youth that we blame for not engaging or feeling disconnected. It is us the guides that should endeavor to encourage them not ‘what to see’, but ‘how to look’ and offer up options.”

Susannah Johnson

Pursuing liberated learning for the individual by the individual, Susannah seeks an education revolution that includes the ultimate in empowered, student-centered learning taking individualized learning out of theory and into the world, redefining what it means to be an educator.

Robert Landau

Robert’s greatest identified strength is Futurist. His inspiration comes from the words of Robert Frost: “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference"

Paul Passamonte

As an educator of over twenty years, Paul is passionate about preparing
students for a future that is unknown and guiding them to become the best
versions of themselves.

Julie Rogers

Julie is passionate about creating a future where humans have a symbiotic relationship with Mother Earth through weaving of native intelligence with innovation in education.

Kristofer Swett

"Follow Your Bliss"

My passion is for the alternative. Making sure schools can better serve different students' needs. We cannot teach the students of the future with the ways of the past.
